The emergence of welding robot has brought great convenience to the user's welding process. In the process of using welding robot to carry out GMAW, the wire feeding process is basically in place in one step. That's because the welding robot is equipped with an automatic wire feeding system, including wire feeding, wire feeding hose, wire coil and other parts. The wire is sent to the welding machine through perfect configuration Specify the location.
The wire feeding system of welding robot can feed wire in three different ways. One is push wire type. This structure is relatively simple, light and easy to operate and maintain. However, the resistance of wire feeding is large. With the extension of wire feeding hose, the stability of wire feeding becomes worse. Therefore, this wire feeding method is usually used in semi-automatic GMAW with wire diameter of 2.0 mm and wire feeding hose length of 5 m.
Another wire feeding method used in welding robot wire feeding system is wire drawing type, which separates the welding wire coil and welding gun, so that they are connected through wire feeding hose. The other is to install the welding coil directly on the welding gun. Both of them are suitable for thin wire semi-automatic GMAW. The diameter of welding wire is less than or equal to 0.8mm, and the wire feeding is stable.
There is also a push-pull wire feeding mode, which is also used in the welding robot wire feeding system. In this wire feeding system, there are both push wire machine and wire drawing machine, in which push wire is the main power, and wire drawing is to straighten the welding wire. Although its wire feeding hose can be lengthened to 10m, it is not widely used in practice due to its complex structure.
Since wire feeding is one of the indispensable operation links in the welding process, it is necessary to deal with it well. This aspect should also be taken into account when designing the welding robot, so that the wire feeding system can meet the actual welding needs.
